Clinical hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses a state of focused attention and deep relaxation (hypnosis) to help people address psychological or physical health issues. Unlike "stage hypnosis" used for entertainment, clinical hypnotherapy is performed by trained healthcare professionals—such as clinical hypnotherapists, psychologists or doctors—to facilitate behavioral change or symptom relief.

It works by inducing a "trance-like" state where the conscious, critical mind is relaxed, allowing the subconscious mind to become more receptive to positive suggestions. Bree will begin the session with a brief discussion about your goals, and will then guide you into a deeply relaxed yet hyper aware state using guided imagery. Studies show that during hypnosis, the brain experiences heightened theta wave activity, which is associated with deep relaxation and enhanced learning.

Bree studied clinical hypnotherapy with the Academy of Clinical Hypnotherapy (ACH), in an 11 month program including 100 hours of supervised practical experience. The ACH is recognized by the Canadian Association of Counselling Hypnotherapists and Educators (CACHE), which is a not for profit society of regulated hypnotherapists dedicated to providing the highest standards of practice and education in our field. She also continues her education by regularly attending monthly educational hypnotherapy seminars and self-study.

No. This is the most common myth. During clinical hypnosis, you remain aware of where you are and what is happening. You cannot be forced to act against your moral values or do anything you wouldn't normally do, as the subconscious mind would simply reject any suggestions against your morals or values. You are always in the "driver's seat," and Bree, the clinical hypnotherapist, acts only as a guide.

Most people (roughly 70–90%) can enter at least a light to medium state of hypnosis. Success depends on your willingness to participate and your ability to concentrate. "Hypnotizability" is often linked to being open to new experiences and having a vivid imagination. Only a very small percentage of people are "resistant," often due to fear or a lack of trust in the practitioner.

Yes, it is considered a safe, low-risk procedure. However, it is not recommended for individuals with certain mental health conditions, such as schizophrenia or active psychosis.

Similar to other forms of therapy, clinical hypnotherapy sessions are personalized, goal oriented, and build upon each session. Most clients see impactful change in as little as 4 sessions, with lasting impact with 6+ sessions.
-
Yes. Modern neuroimaging (fMRI and EEG) has shown that hypnosis creates measurable changes in brain activity, particularly in areas related to attention, emotion, and pain processing. Major medical organizations, including the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Mayo Clinic, recognize it as a valid clinical tool for specific conditions. In addition, the Canadian Cancer Society recognizes clinical hypnotherapy as a complementary healing modality.

Frequently Asked Questions - Akashic Records
-
The word Akasha is Sanskrit for "sky" or "ether." In spiritual terms, the Akashic Records are an energetic archive or a “library” of the universe. They are said to contain the vibrational record of every soul’s journey; past, present, and all future possibilities. When Bree opens someone’s record, she opens up the metaphysical “book” of that soul’s experiences throughout the many lifetimes it’s lived.
-
Bree enters a meditative and channeled state, using a specific sacred prayer to open your specific records. Bree channels the visual images and messages she is receiving from your spirit team which often consists of your deceased loved ones, spirit guides, angels, etc. They relay information to you to answer questions you have about current life circumstances, or any questions you feel called to ask during the session.
-
Not exactly, because you are always co-creating your future. The Records show probable futures based on the current path you are on. Because free will is a fundamental law, nothing is set in stone. A reading is better used as a roadmap; it shows you where you are headed so you can decide if you want to stay that course or make changes to create a different outcome.
-
Psychic Reading: Often focuses on predicting external events, timing, and other people's actions in the physical world.
Akashic Reading: Focuses on the Why. It looks at soul-level causes, past-life influences, and your spiritual growth. It is less about "What will happen?" and more about "Why is this happening, and how can I heal it? What is my purpose, or the purpose of challenges?
-
This is the #1 reason people seek readings. The Records can reveal your Soul Blueprint—the specific gifts, talents, and lessons your soul intended to explore in this lifetime. It won't necessarily give you a job title, but it will give you a "vibrational direction" that makes your life feel meaningful.
-
The Records respond best to open-ended questions starting with "How," "Why," or "What."
Less Desirable Question: "Will I get the job?"
Strong Question: "What is the soul lesson I am learning in my current career path?" or "How can I align myself with a role that serves my highest purpose?" “What directions can I take to bring myself to an aligned timeline (life path)?”
